The State of Montana, Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, is seeking a Communications Director in Helena to lead the Office of Strategic Communications and steer how the department informs and engages the public.

You will turn complex issues into clear messages, advise agency leadership, develop talking points, and direct communications, marketing, and branding for the department while guiding a small team of public relations professionals.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience.
• Experience in Natural Resources is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Guide department-wide communications strategy, marketing, and brand management.
• Oversee external materials and responses to inquiries.
• Develop talking points for the director and deputy director.
• Lead agency-wide virtual meetings and manage a small team of two public relations professionals and one executive administrative assistant.
• Manage all-hands virtual meetings; ensure communications planning and brand management.
