Moment Strategies in downtown Detroit, MI, seeks a Communications Director to provide strategic leadership for the firm’s client portfolio and communications team. You will mentor senior staff and serve as executive contact for key clients, shaping crisis communications and high-profile campaigns.

You will lead strategy, oversee work quality across accounts, manage staffing and budgets, and collaborate with firm leadership on growth and client retention.

Qualificações

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, business, or a related field is required
• 10 years of progressive communications experience is required
• 5 years of experience leading and developing communications teams is required
• Demonstrated success leading crisis communications and high-profile issue campaigns
• Senior-level client counseling skills and executive presence
• Strong network of media, civic, business, and government relationships in Michigan
• Proven business development and new client acquisition experience
• Experience managing account budgets and profitability
• Leadership experience at a public relations or communications firm preferred
• A master’s degree or Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) preferred

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for the firm’s client portfolio and communications team
• Lead, mentor, and develop Communications Managers and Associates and serve as senior counsel for key clients
• Set strategy for crisis communications, public relations, and issue advocacy engagements
• Ensure quality and consistency of work across all accounts and manage staffing and workload
• Partner with Firm leadership on business development, proposals, and growth, and drive client retention and profitability
