Position Summary
Heritage Werks seeks a Strategic Communications Consultant - Brand Heritage to lead strategic communications for client anniversaries and heritage initiatives. You will facilitate workshops, consult with senior leaders, and guide clients in leveraging their historical content for internal engagement and external storytelling.
Collaborating with Creative and Content teams, you will develop tailored strategies to bring heritage to life through digital, print, experiential, and multimedia formats. The ideal candidate is a polished communicator with strong corporate or internal communications experience, comfortable working with senior stakeholders, and skilled at bridging brand and history.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead anniversary planning, including strategic planning, advising clients, and facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders across departments, representing Heritage Werks professionally and credibly.
- Advise clients on leveraging heritage content across communication channels, collaborating with account teams and historians.
- Develop recommendations based on understanding each client’s internal communication landscape.
- Work with Creative and Content teams to integrate historical narratives into brand storytelling across various formats.
- Collaborate with historians and subject matter experts to ensure content reflects both legacy and modern identity.
- Create a range of communication materials, including internal announcements, social media content, event collateral, and digital signage, applying best practices in copywriting and engagement.
- Support internal communications by providing copywriting and content for newsletters and other needs.
- Present and pitch strategies to clients, guiding content decisions throughout projects.
- Work with leadership on account growth, new deliverables, and resource alignment.
- Ensure timely, on-budget project delivery and maintain high personal utilization.
- Stay updated on trends in brand anniversaries and heritage activations, contributing to service improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- 10+ years in corporate communications or related fields, preferably in brand marketing or PR agencies.
- Bachelor’s in history, liberal arts, marketing, or communications; advanced degree a plus.
- Strategic thinker with client goal assessment and creative solution skills.
- Ability to lead through influence and coordinate cross-functionally.
- Experience with strategic initiatives and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with social media platforms and CMS tools is a plus.
- Experience with content strategy for internal/external audiences.
- Knowledge of archives, history, museums, or cultural heritage is a plus.
- Flexible, adaptable, detail-oriented, and curious.

Location
- Remote position, ideally based in the Atlanta area.
- Travel to client sites and Heritage Werks locations required.
