Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Communications Analyst to coordinate strategic communications for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering. Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance to start; TS/SCI to maintain employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or communications; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of five years in communications/public affairs, with two years in related work.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into digestible public affairs products.
• Familiarity with AP style and public affairs workflows.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic and external communications for OUSW(R&E).
• Ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals across platforms.
• Edit and produce weekly activity reports for amplification.
• Collaborate with team to create high-quality communications materials.
• Track media activity and respond to related inquiries.
• Develop and execute outreach activities and prepare interview quotes.
• Meet with leadership to synchronize public engagement and media work.
