Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an experienced Legislative Affairs Analyst to support the Assistant Secretary of War for Acquisition at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

The analyst will monitor congressional products, draft responses, and assist with budget materials. Requirements include 10+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree, major staff experience (OUSW(A&S) preferred), and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Major staff experience (OUSW(A&S) preferred).
• Experience supporting senior DoW Leadership.
• Experience in legislative affairs or in congressional staff.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor status of and review congressional products including Defense-related legislation, committee reports, and hearing materials.
• Draft and coordinate responses to congressional requests for information.
• Prepare congressional testimony for OUSW(A&S) leadership.
• Support annual rollout of the President’s Budget.
• Prepare Statements of Administration Policy, impact statements, and appeals.
