Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead contract establishment and ensure efficient supply of commodities. You will manage relationships with a broad supplier base and drive performance across safety, delivery, lead time, and quality in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and adherence to trade compliance, with reporting to the Sr. Commodity Manager and interaction across the Fisher Flow Controls Organization.

Qualifications

• Four year technical or business degree + 2 years of experience in supply chain management OR 4 years of relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
• Ability to collaboratively work across departments and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships within supply base to ensure performance metrics are met.
• Aim for safety, on-time delivery, lead time and quality.
• Adhere to company rules, export/import and supply chain security regulations.
• Optimize costs using strategic sourcing while meeting engineering and product specs.
• Negotiate price, delivery and terms, ensuring contract availability.
