Job summary

Flender Corporation USA is looking for a Commodity Manager for Direct Materials to lead sourcing and procurement efforts essential for our manufacturing operations. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize costs while ensuring compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in procurement, preferably with expertise in sourcing direct materials like roller bearings and hydraulic components. Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with ERP systems are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of procurement or sourcing experience focused on direct materials in manufacturing.
• Experience with commodities such as roller bearings, steel castings, gears, hydraulics, machined parts preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM or APICS are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, supplier selection, RFx processes, and contract management.
• Act as Supplier Relationship Owner, resolving issues and driving improvement.
• Monitor commodity markets, track supply risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
