Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in automotive purchasing of direct materials.
• Experience with Forgings, Driveline, Stampings, Rubber, Plastics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and documentation.
• Ability to read blueprints and basic engineering documents.
• Analytical thinker with knowledge of purchasing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full sourcing process including RFQ/RFI, technical reviews, and approvals.
• Collaborate with Nexteer functions for supplier selection.
• Conduct market research to identify suitable suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts for prices and terms with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain commodity strategies with regions.
• Monitor market price trends and business activities.
• Manage supplier commercial issues.
• Ensure compliance with GSM Policies and Procedures.
• Establish annual material budget and perform monthly analysis.
• Identify cost savings with suppliers and Nexteer resources.
• Develop new suppliers to support product lines.
• Negotiate and maintain up-to-date prices per contracts.
