Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a Commodity Buyer in Maryland to support its growing MRO procurement function. The role covers end-to-end PO management, supplier strategy, and cross-functional coordination to achieve value, on-time delivery, and quality. Ideal candidates bring ERP experience (SAP) and 1–3 years in Supply Chain or 5+ years with a high school diploma.

U.S. Person status or export control authorization is required.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher with 1–3 years of relatable experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, and/or Sourcing.
• Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relatable experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, and/or Sourcing.
• U.S. Person status or export control authorization is required due to access to export-controlled technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement life cycle of goods in support of our growing MRO business unit.
• Assist lead Buyer(s) with day-to-day functions.
• Manage purchase order lifecycle, including bid list development, RFQ generation, quote analysis, down select negotiations, PO execution, and fulfillment/receipt of requirements.
• Define, present, and administer supplier strategy to ensure best overall value, including cost, delivery, and quality.
• Manage supplier relationships and obtain delivery status commitments, ensuring timely receipt and internal operational needs are met.
• Drive supplier recovery planning and execution, as necessary.
• Communicate and coordinate activities with cross-functional groups including Program Management, Operations, Planning, Production Control, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Legal.
• Assist and support various sourcing initiatives and special projects, as required.
• Assist and develop continuous improvement / best practices initiatives.
