Job summary

Commercial Bank of California is seeking an Underwriter to support its relationship-driven lending strategy by evaluating complex commercial and business credit requests. With minimal supervision, prepare detailed credit authorizations and present recommendations to senior credit personnel and credit committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years related experience.
• Proficient in financial statement and tax return analysis.
• Strong knowledge of lending regulations and CBC policies.
• Experience with commercial, C&I, CRE policies.
• Proficient MS Office; Abrigo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with loan officers and clients on commercial loans.
• Prepare financial statements and debt service analysis.
• Prepare credit authorizations with loan officers and present analyses.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and referrals.
• Review loan documentation for compliance.
