Job summary

Camden National Corporation seeks a Commercial Portfolio Manager I to partner with Commercial Banking Officers and Directors of Commercial Banking, managing a portfolio of loan relationships. Under the Team Leader, you will apply underwriting skills to ensure adherence to loan policy, financial analysis, and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities include monitoring covenants, requesting financial data, assisting with closings, and preparing term sheets.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of commercial banking products including construction lending, asset-based lines of credit and letters of credit.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of existing commercial customers within an assigned portfolio to ensure compliance with covenants, financial condition and risk rating.
• Discuss any perceived weakness or potential credit problems with the Banking Officer, Director of Commercial Banking and/or other appropriate parties.
• Independently request and follow up borrowers’ submission of financial information on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis as it applies.
• Prepare term sheets and commitment letters in accordance with the approval document.
• Assist with renewals or modifications to existing loans within the portfolio.
• Train new team members as needed.
