Job summary

Whitaker Bank Corp Of Kentucky seeks a Commercial Lender in Lexington, KY to solicit, underwrite, negotiate and close routine commercial loans in line with bank policies. You will develop business checking and deposit relationships and promote the bank by maintaining strong customer relations and cross-selling services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 4 years of related experience, and solid skills in communication, organization and sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) preferred or equivalent from a Four Year college or university.
• Four years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination.
• Strong marketing and business development skills with customers.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Current driver’s license and a vehicle if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Solicits new business and educates customers about the Bank’s products and services.
• Interviews loan applicants and collects information related to loan applications.
• Performs prequalification assessment and analyzes financial condition and risk of financing requests.
• Prepares financing requests for Senior Management or Loan Committee approval and negotiates terms.
• Coordinates processing of approved loans and ensures compliance with lending policies.
• Represents the Bank in community, civic and reinvestment functions to build market position.
