Job summary

Adecco seeks a Commercial Furniture Designer / Specifier in New York to drive workplace concepts from concept through installation. Collaborate with account executives, PMs, architects, interior designers, clients, and manufacturers to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities include 2D/3D plans, space planning, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Office schedule is Mon-Thu in office, Fri telework; salary up to $100k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years in commercial furniture design or workplace planning.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CET, CAP 2020, and DWG-based design tools.
• Familiarity with MillerKnoll and contract furniture products.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales, estimating, and project management to develop furniture solutions.
• Create detailed 2D/3D plans, renderings, specifications, and typicals.
• Space plan commercial work environments per standards and codes.
• Manage projects from programming through installation.
• Coordinate with architects and designers on dimensions and electrical needs.
• Collaborate with manufacturers on finishes, pricing, and product selections.
• Apply value engineering to meet client objectives and budgets.
• Stay current on industry trends and product offerings.
