Job summary

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in coding, clinical documentation improvement, billing, or auditing.
• Experience in a community health center or similar healthcare environment.
• Coding certification (COC, CPC, CCS) preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Commercial reimbursement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Leads coding initiatives to improve net patient revenue and reduce denials.
• Implements documentation improvements to support accurate coding and reimbursement.
• Oversees audits of coding and billing staff for accuracy and compliance.
• Trains staff on coding standards and regulatory changes.
• Collaborates with Finance and Clinical leadership to align coding with organizational goals.
