Moody's Analytics Finance is seeking a senior Finance professional to partner with Engineering, Product, and FinOps to optimize cloud spend, drive transparency, and create executive-ready insights. The role emphasizes driver-based forecasting, cost attribution, and governance across MA products and platforms.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience across Technology Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Cloud Economics, Engineering Finance, Product Finance, FinOps, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost drivers and consumption-based pricing models, including AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, MongoDB, Confluent.
• Demonstrated experience translating technical decisions into financial insights for execs.
• Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of FinOps concepts, tagging governance, and cloud governance practices.
• Executive presence and communication skills to simplify technical concepts.
• Strong stakeholder management to drive data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in AI concepts with hands-on AI tool usage for workflows.

Responsibilities

• Leads cloud economics strategy and financial partnership across Moody's Analytics Engineering, Product, and FinOps to drive transparency and executive decision support.
• Serve as Finance's primary business partner to MA Engineering, Product, and Technology leadership for cloud spend and cloud investment decisions.
• Build trusted relationships across Engineering, Product, FinOps, and Finance teams for cloud-related planning and governance discussions.
• Support and enhance driver-based cloud consumption models connecting product usage, engineering activity, migrations, architecture decisions, and roadmap investments to cloud spend outcomes.
• Lead cloud forecasting, annual planning and rolling forecasts with driver-based variance analysis.
• Build product-level cloud cost transparency and attribution frameworks with tagging governance and product mapping.
• Prepare materials for senior Finance and MA executives with findings and recommendations to support cloud investments.
• Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making through data-driven analysis for cloud governance.
