ABIP CPAs & Advisors is seeking a Client Accountant in San Antonio to oversee high-quality outsourced accounting services for multiple clients. You will manage client relationships and engagement teams, acting as a strategic advisor on financial results, process improvements, and technology adoption.

The role requires a CPA license for senior positions, GAAP knowledge, and hands-on experience in cloud-based accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior public accounting experience required; outsourced client accounting or controllership experience highly valued.
• CPA license required for Manager or Senior Manager positions.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems and integrated financial applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and advisory skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of CAS clients, overseeing outsourced accounting and financial reporting engagements.
• Follow month-end and year-end close processes with GAAP compliance.
• Review and analyze financial statements, management reports, and KPIs, providing actionable insights.
• Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining relationships and delivering proactive communication.
• Advise clients on accounting process improvements, system implementations, and internal controls.
• Mentor and review work by junior staff and offshore team members.
• Coordinate with tax, assurance, and advisory teams to ensure cohesive service.
• Stay current on emerging accounting technologies and cloud platforms.
