Job summary

GVW Group is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to establish and maintain the enterprise’s information security vision, strategy, and program. This role will protect assets, mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate incident response across on-site teams in Birmingham, AL or Chicago, IL.

The CISO will lead security operations, advise the CFO and Board, and integrate security with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC are highly desirable.
• 10 years in information security with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide information security strategy and roadmap.
• Advise executive leadership on cybersecurity risks, compliance, and threats.
• Lead risk management, policy creation, and security incident response planning.
• Oversee security operations, including cloud, network, and data protection controls.
