Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEW YORK & NORTHERN NEW JERSEY INC. in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead IT strategy, cyber security, data governance and digital transformation across multiple business lines.

You will manage budgets, vendors and high‑impact initiatives while aligning technology with mission delivery. The CIO will drive cloud modernization, improve processes, supervise IT staff and contractors, and partner with the CFO to optimize technology investments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field with 10 years’ IT experience and 4 years at senior management level or
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field with 15 years’ IT experience and 7 years at senior management level
• Demonstrated senior IT management experience overseeing staff, budgets, vendors and processes
• Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure, applications, security, and IT best practices
• PMP and ITIL certifications strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for information and telecommunications technology across the organization
• Oversee IT security strategy, HIPAA/PCI/HITECH compliance and cybersecurity governance
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cost control for IT initiatives and vendor management
• Develop and implement data-informed IT workflows and dashboards for decision making
• Sponsor AI guidelines and policies ensuring secure and business-aligned AI adoption
• Manage relationships with vendors, staff and external partners
• Ensure IT projects deliver value and align with mission priorities
• Coordinate with CFO and business units to optimize technology investments
