Job summary

The City of Culver City seeks a strategic CIO to lead information systems, digital services, and data strategy. The role blends executive oversight with hands-on management of staff, budgets, vendors, and project delivery across IT domains.

The successful candidate will drive Lean/Agile methodologies, governance, and security while advancing city priorities and resilience in a complex municipal environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or related field.
• 6–10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing a complex multi-user information technology system.
• Experience with Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, or similar methodologies.
• PMP, CGCIO, CISM, CISSP, CISA, Certified ScrumMaster, or related certifications desirable.
• Experience in local government, telecommunications and/or municipal fiber is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership for the City’s information systems, technology infrastructure, digital services, and data needs.
• Oversee staff, consultants, and contractors; manage budgets, vendors, and contracts.
• Direct fiber networks, cybersecurity, end-user support, and municipal IT priorities to improve service delivery.
