Los Angeles County Office of Education seeks a strategic Chief Human Resources Officer to lead talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, salary administration, and benefits for a large, complex educational system. The CHRO will negotiate with unions and guide certificated and classified personnel functions in partnership with the Personnel Commission.

Qualifications

Master's degree in human resources, employee relations, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
Foreign degrees require translation/equivalency per credentials commission.

Responsibilities

Lead talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, and classification, compensation and benefits.
Serve as LACOE's chief negotiator and strategic HR leader.
Provide executive leadership for certificated and assigned classified personnel functions.
Partner with the Personnel Commission while respecting its statutory authority.
Drive HR operations in a large, complex, unionized organization.
