Job summary

AURA Technologies, LLC is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic and operational right hand to the CEO. You will drive execution of priorities, manage directors across operations, program management, marketing, and engineering, and oversee government program activities.

This senior leadership role emphasizes government procurement, compliance, and strategic transactions readiness, with the potential to grow into a COO position for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a DoD-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement and contracting processes.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable decisions.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC frameworks.
• US citizenship is required to work on government programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CEO's operational proxy—driving execution of strategic priorities across the organization and ensuring accountability at every level.
• Directly manage a team of directors and functional leads spanning corporate operations, program management, marketing, and engineering support.
• Oversee government program execution, including contract administration, deliverable tracking, and customer relationship management across the portfolio.
• Own compliance readiness, including coordination of CMMC Level 2 certification efforts, DFARS obligations, and related security requirements.
• Manage IT and MSP vendor relationships, ensuring security and operational standards meet government/commercial needs.
• Maintain and update financial projections, cash flow models, and operational metrics for leadership visibility.
• Support strategic transaction prep related to technology spinoffs, licensing, or portfolio initiatives; include data room organization and due diligence.
• Establish the operational rhythm of the business—leadership meetings, goal tracking, reporting cadences, cross-functional coordination.
• Identify organizational gaps and insert structure and accountability to drive maturity and efficiency.
• Step into any function as needed and own problems across lanes.
