Qualifikationen

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active MA bar license or eligibility for admission.
• Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible legal experience.
• Expertise in higher education law, contracts, IP, and employment law.
• Experience with AI tools for legal research and drafting.

Aufgaben

• Advise Executive Council, Chief Officers, and Board on risk, compliance, and strategic matters.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks with timely strategies.
• Monitor federal, state, and local developments affecting higher education.
• Provide guidance on employment, labor, benefits, faculty, and staff relations.
• Manage litigation, regulatory matters, and outside counsel relationships.
• Draft and review contracts and institutional policies.
• Oversee Title IX and Civil Rights coordination and compliance.
• Contribute to enterprise risk management and emergency planning.
