Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA seeks an accomplished Chief Compliance Officer to lead ethics, privacy, and internal audit compliance, reporting to the CEO and guiding enterprise strategy.

You will build proactive programs addressing HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute, align with the board and executives, and educate staff to embed compliance in daily decisions. Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years in healthcare compliance leadership and a relevant advanced degree.

Qualifications

• Master’s in healthcare administration or related field, or a law degree.
• 8–10 years of compliance, legal, financial, and/or audit leadership in healthcare.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Experience with electronic health information systems and privacy management.
• CHC/CHPC or RHIA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead ethics, privacy and internal audit compliance efforts across NGHS.
• Develop proactive, enterprise-wide compliance program and risk assessments.
• Provide reporting to Compliance Oversight Committee, executives and Board.
• Educate employees and leaders to embed compliance in daily decisions.
• Oversee Corporate Integrity Agreement implementation with CEO.
