Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Senior Associate General Counsel I to provide sophisticated legal advice to NGHS and affiliates under the Chief Legal Officer. The role covers healthcare law, physician contracting, regulatory compliance, and corporate matters, with oversight of outside counsel.

Qualified candidates have a Georgia license within six months, a JD, and at least eight years of relevant experience in law firms or in-house settings.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Georgia or ability to obtain Georgia license within six months.
• Juris Doctor degree.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house

Responsabilités

• Assist in handling administrative and legal proceedings before federal and state agencies and courts.
• Negotiate, review, draft and interpret contracts, with emphasis on hospital-physician relationships.
• Represent NGHS in licensure applications, regulatory compliance and network contracting.
• Negotiate and draft settlements of claims and/or litigation.
• Research and draft memoranda, opinions and correspondence on legal issues.
• Oversee outside counsel and contract management activity; supervise legal work.
• Participate in the management and administration of the Legal Department.
