Job summary

Choice Financial Group is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to set the strategic direction of the enterprise-wide Compliance Program and oversee policies, training, regulatory change management, and reporting to the Board. The role partners with first and second lines of defense, business leaders, external counsel, and regulators to embed a transparent compliance culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of eight years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the role.
• Financial industry experience in a commercial bank, community bank, or financial services company preferred.
• Proven experience collaborating across departments and with senior leadership to support organizational success.
• Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership, business partners, regulatory agencies, external counsel, and first and second line risk partners.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the enterprise-wide Compliance Program strategy and operations; oversee all compliance and risk functions to ensure obligations are known and adhered to.
• Provide quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors on relevant compliance activities and regulatory trends.
• Manage personnel and budget to ensure cost-effective delivery of compliance, risk, and legal oversight services.
• Establish and maintain compliance policies reflecting legal and regulatory obligations across the company and partners.
• Coordinate external legal advisory activities through cost-effective approaches.
• Oversee regulatory exam and communication activities with strategic messaging across business areas.
• Identify new compliance requirements and educate the company and partners; ensure compliance plans are in place.
