Job summary

Twin Rivers Paper Company is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead chemicals and raw-material sourcing across our manufacturing network. You will drive category strategy, supplier negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives while guiding a small team.

You will own budgeting, market intelligence, risk management, and procurement governance, ensuring on-time delivery, supply continuity, and strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, supply chain, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, chemicals or supply planning.
• Proven leadership of multi-site teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong negotiations, supplier economics, risk management and budgeting.
• Experience with inventory management and MRP/ERP processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and day-to-day execution of Twin Rivers' chemicals and raw-material portfolio.
• Lead and develop the current team responsible for purchase-order entry, inventory management, raw-material planning, delivery coordination and issue resolution.
• Own category strategies, sourcing, contracts, supplier performance, budgeting, market intelligence, risk management and cost-savings delivery.
• Ensure tactical activities are executed accurately and on time, stepping in to resolve shortages or supplier issues.
• Govern requisitions and purchase orders, inventory targets, material plans, delivery schedules, and supplier escalations.
• Create an operating cadence that provides clear priorities and visibility to risks, actions, owners, and due dates.
• Develop multi-year category strategies by chemical family and raw-material segment, including demand outlook and risk exposure.
• Lead major sourcing events, negotiations, and contract strategies focusing on total cost and service quality.
• Segment suppliers and lead strategic reviews, joint value creation, and corrective-action plans.
• Create contingencies and dual sources for critical materials, in coordination with product development.
• Set inventory strategy and targets by material/site, align with production schedules, and manage disruption risk.
• Drive reduction of excess/inactive inventory while preserving mill continuity.
• Lead cross-functional responses to shortages, force majeure events, and logistics disruptions.
• Govern savings portfolio execution from opportunity through implementation and validation.
• Mobilize and support direct reports and cross-functional teams to deliver cost reduction and working capital initiatives.
