Job summary

Cabot Corporation in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Category Sr Buyer to join the North America Procurement team. You will lead end-to-end procurement activities, manage Coupa, execute strategic sourcing, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost‑effective, value‑driven solutions.

The role emphasizes site leadership, tactical sourcing, and category execution across US and Canada in a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in procurement or buying roles.
• Experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, carbon materials, or industrial products highly preferred.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar spend categories across multiple facilities.
• Experience negotiating chemical supply agreements and commercial terms.
• Hands‑on experience with Coupa or similar e‑procurement platforms.

Responsibilities

• Operate end-to-end purchasing process using Coupa, including requisition review, PO creation, contracting, and approvals.
• Conduct RFQs/RFPs for mid-value purchases and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Maintain supplier data in Coupa and monitor performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and automate procurement processes.
• Mentor Buyers and support onboarding of new team members.
