Job summary

Alta Planning + Design is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial strategy and reporting. The role partners with the President and leadership to drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term value across a multi-disciplinary, project-based environment.

The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, controls, and governance while enabling strategic growth and successful integration of acquisitions. Hybrid work supports collaboration across a national team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Experience within engineering, consulting, professional services, construction services, or project-based businesses.
• Strong financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to the President and leadership on financial strategy.
• Drive profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Lead financial reporting, controls, and governance practices.
• Develop KPIs and analytics to improve operational performance.
• Partner with operational leaders to enable growth and value creation.
• Oversee acquisition integration and financial onboarding with Trilon leadership.
• Mentor and develop the finance team and ensure alignment across entities.
