Job summary

UCSF Foundation seeks an Executive Director to serve as CFO, directing finance, accounting, and reporting for the Foundation, BCH-Oakland Foundation, and UCSF's gift/endowment operations.

You will lead a high-impact team, oversee treasury, investments, tax compliance, and GAAP reporting, and partner with UCSF leadership to advance the university's mission through prudent fiscal stewardship.

Qualifications

• Expertise in non-profit fund accounting and endowment administration.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and external audits.
• Experience modernizing financial systems and strengthening internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Directs finance, accounting, and financial reporting for UCSF Foundation entities.
• Oversees treasury operations, investments, and short-term liquidity management.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and coordinates external audits.
• Leads policy development and internal control improvements.
• Collaborates with UCSF leadership, development staff, and board committees.
