Job summary

Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, budgeting, and reporting. The role is full-time, based in Fredericksburg, VA, with responsibility for cash flow, audits, and regulatory compliance within a nonprofit advocacy environment.

You will oversee annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reviews, working closely with the President, EVP, and Board. A CPA/MBA and nonprofit experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience as CFO or finance leader in a nonprofit or political-advocacy organization is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization’s financial planning, strategy, and structure.
• Analyze, monitor, and report financial performance and key metrics to leadership and Board.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, controls and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, filings and regulatory requirements.
• Advise leadership on financial risks, resource allocation, and corrective actions.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
