Cal Solar Inc in California seeks a seasoned CFO/Controller to lead financial strategy, capital planning and daily accounting operations. You will oversee audits, banking, payroll, monthly statements, and cash flows while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

This hands-on role requires managing budgets, WIP, project costing, financial reporting, and a high-caliber finance team in a growth-focused solar design/build environment. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance with senior leadership; startup a plus.
• Experience in construction/energy sectors and intercompany transactions.
• Advanced Excel skills and GAAP knowledge; autonomous with exec partner interface.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO on financial strategy, forecasting and growth planning.
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, bonding and capital needs.
• Develop and maintain quarterly and annual budgets.
• Oversee daily cash management, including forecasting.
• Prepare forecasting and financial reporting for the executive team.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls across the organization.
• Maintain WIP reporting and monthly close processes.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and project costing.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and implement recommendations.
• Lead accounting staff and manage software maintenance and integration.
