Job summary

Union Bank of Michigan seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, planning, and performance management. You will oversee accounting, ALM, treasury, capital planning, and regulatory compliance while providing actionable insights to guide decisions.

The role requires extensive banking experience, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with the CEO and Board to drive growth and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
• 10-15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in banking or regulated finance.
• Experience leading multi-functional teams and strategic initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and risk management.
• Excellent communication with Board and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall financial leadership and stewardship of the organization.
• Establish and maintain accounting systems reflecting the bank's financial position.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, capital and liquidity management, regulatory compliance.
• Serve as strategic advisor to CEO and Board.
• Lead long-term financial planning aligned with business strategy.
