Job summary

MedStar Health has an opportunity for a Senior Centralized Pharmacy Procurement Specialist in Elkridge, Maryland. This full-time role manages centralized medication and supply procurement across the system’s distribution center, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and regulatory compliance including DSCSA and 340B.

The position supports continuity of supply through proactive shortage and recall management, inventory oversight, and adherence to contract pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years Pharmacy Technician experience.
• 5-7 years Pharmacy Buyer experience.
• Demonstrated inventory management system experience.
• 340B experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procures medications and supplies to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of operational needs.
• Performs daily inventory review and executes purchasing using approved procurement systems.
• Maintains inventory purchase history and cost; oversees month-end counts and adjustments.
• Ensures timely receipt of medications and supplies; reconciles invoices and POs; maintains documentation.
