Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions seeks a Category Manager in Austin, TX to drive total cost of ownership strategies across the supply chain, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and operations to add value. This on-site role focuses on value delivery through procurement excellence.

The position covers contract negotiation, supplier governance, risk mitigation, and cost-out initiatives to ensure reliable, cost-competitive supply of parts and services worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Deep technical knowledge of plastic injection molding and castings.
• Proven track record in multi-million dollar contract negotiations.
• Experience with Should-Cost analyses for molded/cast parts.
• Strong tooling design, manufacturing processes, and lead times knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and administer contracts with key suppliers.
• Create commodity strategies based on DFS and Dover volumes.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigations.
• Maintain supplier relationships and conduct QBRs.
• Monitor market trends, price movements, and futures.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to meet internal needs.
• Drive continuous improvement and total cost of ownership initiatives.
• Ensure ERP data accuracy for supplier master and POs.
