Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a skilled DT Category Merchant to lead assortment and category management from our corporate office in Chesapeake, VA. You will shape category strategy, define assortments for multiple banners, and drive product selection while collaborating with Global Sourcing to optimize costs.

Your role includes leading merchandising planning, coordinating with teams on promotions, and guiding weekly and monthly performance reviews to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing category strategy and assortment plans across banners/channels.
• Proven ability to translate market trends into actionable merchandising plans.
• Strong collaboration with sourcing and cross-functional teams to optimize buys and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy and product management aligned with corporate objectives.
• Define assortment and product selection for banners, channels, and departments.
• Identify and procure products to drive performance for assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Global Sourcing to manage vendor relationships and negotiate costs.
• Plan and sign off on plan-o-guides, display guides, and promotional calendars.
• Lead weekly business reviews and contribute to monthly P&L performance considerations.
• Identify merchandising improvement initiatives and mentor the merchandising team.
