Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America is seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing across assigned categories and manage supplier relationships at our on-site operations in Georgia. You will develop category strategies, drive cost reductions, and ensure supply continuity while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, analytical capability, and experience in procurement, with travel and daily on-site presence at the mine site.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and management of annual spend of $40MM+ across assigned categories.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and act as primary Procurement contact.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and projects without direct authority; no direct reports.
• Develop and execute category strategies and sourcing plans aligned with company objectives.
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluation, negotiations, selection, and implementation.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and competitive sourcing.
• Develop cost models and benchmarks; track savings and cost avoidance with Finance.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, rebates, payment terms, and other commercial terms.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs for cost, quality, delivery, and service.
