Job summary

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in capital purchases, a BA/BS in business or supply chain, strong Excel and data-analysis skills, and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems. SEL offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in capital purchases or related sourcing.
• BA/BS in business, operations, or supply chain, or combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis ability.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking abilities.
• Strong analytic skills with large data sets.
• Ability to learn new skills and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to purchasing policies to ensure quality, inventory levels, timely delivery and cost competitiveness.
• Execute strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives.
• Identify risks to the supply chain and report market trends and capacity constraints.
• Improve supplier partnerships and drive corrective action as needed.
• Demonstrate professional purchasing fundamentals, data analytics, and negotiation techniques.
• Follow SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
