Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking professional, innovative individuals for our Buyer II/III role in Pullman, WA. A typical day includes adhering to purchasing policies, executing strategic sourcing plans, and identifying supply chain risks while reporting to management.

The position emphasizes supplier partnerships, cost reduction strategies, and negotiation techniques within a World Class Manufacturing framework. Strong communication and MS Excel skills are essential.

Formación

• Hold a B.A./B.S. degree in business, operations, or supply chain.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

Responsabilidades

• Adhering to purchasing policies to ensure quality, inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive cost.
• Executing strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives.
• Identifying risks to SEL’s supply chain and reporting to management.
• Creating and improving supplier partnerships and implementing corrective actions per World Class Manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrating and leading others in business professionalism, data analytics, supply chain management, and negotiation techniques.
