Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer in a hybrid role based in Atlanta, Boston, or West Hartford. The CAO will oversee Accounting, Financial Reporting, Treasury, and related areas, building a capable team and ensuring robust controls and timely financial results.

The ideal candidate brings CPA credentials, extensive experience in a regulated environment, and a strategic mindset to partner with senior leaders on capital, risk, and regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• Extensive financial leadership experience in a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to drive strategy and financial decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and financial controls.
• Experience coordinating with board and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury and related areas.
• Build and develop a high-performing Finance team of ~10 professionals.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and regulatory standards across entities.
• Drive policy implementation, process improvements and M&A financial integration.
• Partner with senior leadership on capital, risk, tax and investment decisions.
