Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a Director of Custodial Services to provide strategic leadership, oversee campus custodial operations, and align services with the university’s mission and sustainability goals.

This role manages budgets, leads a multi-shift workforce, develops performance metrics, and partners with campus leadership to improve safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence across the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management, Environmental Services, or related field (Substitution: combination of experience and education may substitute).
• Progressively responsible facilities or custodial management experience required.
• Experience leading large multi-shift workforces and/or Classified state staff workforces is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for custodial operations and long-term master planning.
• Develop budgets, operational plans, and performance metrics for custodial services.
• Lead implementation of CMMS, data analytics, and dashboards to monitor service levels.
• Collaborate with campus leadership and partners to ensure safe, clean, and welcoming facilities.
• Establish KPIs and reporting for executive stakeholder reviews.
