Job summary

Aquatech is seeking an Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain & Procurement (Buyer) in Houston. You will purchase pumps, valves, vessels and other water-treatment equipment while coordinating with multiple departments and vendors to meet project timelines.

The role emphasizes negotiation, budgeting, data accuracy, and SAP proficiency, with a focus on technical commodities in the water/wastewater sector. On-site, dayshift position with benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
2 years of experience preferred in procurement.
Experience with SAP is preferred.
Knowledge of water/ wastewater treatment systems is beneficial.
Ability to negotiate prices and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

Promptly purchase commodities and equipment for water treatment systems.
Review requisitions and prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
Negotiate with vendors on price, availability and delivery schedules.
Interface with departments to resolve procurement issues and ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain budget reports and track supplier invoices.
Travel as needed to meet project requirements.
