Job summary

CMCO is seeking a dedicated LR-Buyer for our Jacksonville, Arkansas facility. The role focuses on procurement of materials and services, coordinating with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

You will drive supplier performance through KPIs, supplier scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires 3–5 years in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Experience in large, multi-product manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier performance reviews.
• Knowledge of shipping, inventory, and supply chain functions.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Initiate purchase orders and amendments; coordinate with control and stakeholders.
• Secure quotes, negotiate prices and terms; select vendors based on cost, quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with plant personnel on shipping/receiving and inventory control.
• Lead Monthly Business Reviews with critical suppliers and document action items.
• Align supplier selections and cost-reduction initiatives with procurement strategy.
• Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans; qualify alternative suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance via scorecards and ERP data; drive improvements.
• Promote safety and compliance with company policies.
