Curries, an ASSA ABLOY company, is seeking a Buyer to join our Mason City, IA site reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. This onsite role focuses on procurement, supplier management, inventory planning, and manufacturing operations to keep our production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, operations, or related business functions.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Desire to learn, grow, and build a career within a procurement organization.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for assigned materials and suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery dates, and material availability.
• Monitor open orders and communicate potential supply concerns.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within ERP systems.
• Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts and replenishment processes.
• Assist in the analysis of supplier performance and procurement metrics.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, production planning, and other business functions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Learn procurement best practices, sourcing processes, and supplier management techniques
