Job summary

IPS Corporation is seeking a Buyer Planner in Kalamazoo, MI to plan production schedules, procure materials, and ensure a balanced flow of work through manufacturing. You will issue purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and maintain master data to support on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

The role requires a background in supply chain or related fields, with 5+ years of experience preferred, and familiarity with JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred; or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Business or related field is a plus.
• ASCM CPIM/CSCP certification is a plus.
• Proficient in JD Edwards (Oracle) and basic Lean principles.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Experience in manufacturing scheduling/buying is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily demand and generate work orders to satisfy demand while balancing inventory.
• Identify material constraints and expedite resolution with responsible parties.
• Maintain accurate master data, BOMs, and routings.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; review open orders weekly.
• Coordinate with procurement leadership to keep inventory at planned levels.
• Monitor schedule adherence and adjust orders as needed.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Provide monthly/quarterly reporting to leadership.
