Job summary

Echo Electric, a Sonepar brand, seeks a Buyer to strategically manage inventory, supplier relationships, and procurement processes to optimize product availability, cost-efficiency, and operational smoothness.

The role is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with responsibilities including replenishing stock, negotiating favorable terms, maintaining product data, analyzing inventory metrics, and collaborating with Pricing and Accounts Payable to maximize cash discounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field or 2 years buying experience.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and clear written/verbal communication.
• Strong inventory management and vendor relations skills.
• Ability to analyze market conditions and optimize inventory.
• Experience with purchasing modules and cost negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes stock for all locations with assigned vendors.
• Maintains supplier relations and negotiates favorable terms and costs.
• Keeps accurate product data including descriptions and minimum buy quantities.
• Identifies opportunities for vendor consolidation and cost reductions.
• Maintains knowledge of product lifecycles and new replacements.
• Expedites stock and special orders with Echo personnel.
• Analyzes inventory for stock-out risk, bulk receiving points, and turns.
• Resolves price discrepancies with Vendors and AP to maximize cash discounts.
