Job summary

USA Rare Earth is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Buyer to support company-wide procurement activities in Wheat Ridge, CO. You will manage the end-to-end procurement process from RFQ to PO issuance to goods receipt, while upholding best practices and audit-ready documentation.

This role includes developing SOPs, collaborating across departments, and ensuring goods and services are sourced at the right time and best value to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field; experience considered in lieu of higher education.
• 3+ years in procurement or supply chain, manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with inventory and indirect procurement, vendor communication, and PO lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement lifecycle for indirect and direct purchases: RFQ, PO, delivery tracking and follow-up.
• Procure inventory items, corporate materials, office supplies, services and small equipment across departments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate needs and ensure timely material availability.
• Enter POs accurately, maintain vendor data, and adhere to purchasing policies.
• Develop and implement procurement SOPs, approval workflows and standard forms.
• Maintain procurement records and receipts for audit and SOX compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times and quality of goods and services.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and consolidate vendors where possible.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Support receiving and procurement processes, and contribute to continuous improvements.
