Performance Foodservice is seeking a procurement-focused professional in Massachusetts to coordinate supplier sourcing, negotiate terms, and establish long-term contracts to ensure a steady supply of high-quality products for foodservice distribution. You will maintain service levels, handle special orders, and collaborate across teams to optimize pricing and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years purchasing or related experience.
• Experience in purchasing or related area preferred.

Responsabilités

• Procure products to meet service levels, inventory turns and par levels.
• Set up and procure special order product requests.
• Maintain relationships with associates, vendors and brokers to ensure quality service.
• Provide pricing information to sales and advise category manager on pricing structure.
• Identify slow-moving inventory and coordinate pricing changes and communications.
• Follow established guidelines to ensure proper pricing and communicate price changes.
• Use independent judgement within established guidelines.
