Job summary

Safe Fleet in Houston, TX is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and ERP data accuracy to support demand, cost control, and on-time delivery. The role focuses on RFQs, deliveries, and maintaining inventory targets.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing/supply chain management or New Product Introduction support
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge and experience with ERP systems
Ability to analyze information from multiple data sources (Salesforce, PLM, ERP)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure
Proven ability to work well in a team
Experience supporting supplier relations and on-time delivery processes

Responsibilities

Execute purchase requests by inputting purchase orders and managing deliveries
Monitor material requirements and maintain accurate MRP data in ERP
Issue RFQ/RFPs and select best sources based on cost/quality/delivery
Maintain supplier relationships with professional conduct
Coordinate with suppliers on over-shipments, shortages, changes in quantity, dates, and prices
Interface with QA on supplier non-conformances
Authorize payments by reviewing invoices and documents
Maintain inventory levels and stock-code data accuracy in ERP
Perform other duties as required
