Job summary

Waste Management seeks a skilled business systems analyst to bridge technology and business needs in new and enhanced systems. The role conducts advanced process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit reviews to align technology solutions with business goals.

Responsibilities include defining scope with stakeholders, documenting requirements, coordinating tests, and guiding project teams to user acceptance while maintaining documentation libraries and progress reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or equivalence.
• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 5 additional years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between technical staff and business owners.
• Contribute advanced knowledge in formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and user requirements, process flow definitions and functional specifications.
• Document requirements and formulate test plans with QA and other partner groups prior to requesting business user testing.
• Coordinate with users to determine and document business and user requirements, process flow definitions, and functional specifications.
• Be responsible for document repositories, maintenance and updates of project documentation library.
• Lead project team to gain business user acceptance.
• Review progress and evaluate results for accuracy and efficiency.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or equivalence

High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience
