The Strategic Business Planning Specialist will support management to ensure strategic business priorities are identified, prioritized, executed and results measured. Collaborate with key stakeholders for production support needs related to technical incidents and escalations as a subject matter expert. Maintain the strategic roadmap and business intake project portfolios. Effectively communicate with senior leadership and key stakeholders as priorities progress.

Responsibilities

• Work production support tickets for the Retirement and EB line of business by defining requirements, creating test cases and executing user acceptance testing.
• Document and communicate release notes for break fix tickets
• Develop and update strategic planning templates and communications.
• Update strategic roadmap & assigned strategic dashboards/tracking mechanisms.
• Define strategic planning processes, priorities, capabilities, measures of success, etc. Includes cadence and timing of various inputs/outputs; coordinate development of this process with the PMO and other functional leads.
• Coordinate with peers across the organization (including the PMO as a key stakeholder) to develop and execute a holistic strategic planning process.
• Identify integrations and establish contacts across the organization to align efforts and plan implementation.
• Assist with escalated issues on priorities, goals, strategies, resources and key initiatives.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and senior leadership with tailored content based on audience and priority.
• Prepare presentations for delivery to specific audiences.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent experience
• Two years of strategic planning experience in a similar environment or in a planning/consultant role
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to influence others towards strategic goals
• Analytical and problem solving skills to plan strategy, tactics, and perform root-cause analysis
• Familiarity with project management tools, lifecycles, etc.
• Proficiency using MS Office tools
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Insurance/financial services experience
• Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma methodology
  
  

Working Conditions

• Office or hybrid office/remote environment
• Occasional travel to attend strategic planning sessions
  
  

Compensation

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $63,000 - $85,000 annually/per hour. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
